  Chickasaw, Alabama
  Our Mission
To bring together business, community and governmental leaders to promote and insure
the continued economic growth and business development of the City Of Chickasaw and its surrounding areas.

Chickasaw is an incorporated city, part of the North Mobile, Alabama Technical Corridor reaching from the Alabama State Docks up Federal Highway 43 to McIntosh. ThyssenKrupp, a new four billion dollar carbon and stainless steel plant is taking its place along side Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Olin, Shell Oil and Alabama Power Steam Plant just north of our city. Chickasaw and the Mobile/ Baldwin County areas toward the Gulf continue to recover amazingly from the oil-spill with bright, newly resurrected beaches and thriving fish and shrimping activity. We are a great place to visit and a wonderful place to live
Chickasaw has Alabama's furthest north, deep water port, able to support 600 foot vessels and transfer cargo to rail or truck. Norfolk Southern and CSX serve our rail needs while Baldwin Transfer and several other trucking companies are based here within a mile of the port.

A historical town built during World War I to build ships, Chickasaw boasts side-walk streets and an island of homes. Many recreational facilities, such as the newly funded Brooks Park, a kayak and canoe launch with exceptional birdwatching and picnic areas is being erected. There are lighted tennis courts and baseball diamond, a walking park and a professional class disc golf park.

A well kept library, Civic Center and Auditorium provide a home for our Chamber Of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Womens Club and Garden Club. And we boast a Civic Theatre where local actors and actresses present at least four seasonal renditions of works such as Cats, Jane Eyre and Carosel. Stadium seating, excellent lighting and a new museum room are attributes of the Civic Theatre at 801 Iroquois St.
