Thursday, June 16 - Citizen of the Year Banquet

The Chamber celebrated their "Citizen Of The Year" event with two nominees, Tom Hayward and Stephanie Stewart.  Speaker for the luncheon was Dr. Terry Ellis with Randy Davis as guest and Byron Pittman welcoming the crowd. President Terri Pringle presented Stephanie with the plaque as the afternoon get together came to its climax.

Major Ted Morris from the Salvation Army who explained the effect of the tornado devastation in North Alabama. At the conclusion of his message, President Terry Pringle presented him with a chamber check for $1,000 and grateful thanks for all they do. 

Rob McElroy, an inspirational representative from Daphne Utilities, emphasized how important it is to let your employees do their job while encouraging them to "compete to win'.
